| The man named Sacrafist Kilkerrion was born in a small village in the northern countryside of Saldea. Leading a somewhat simple life, until he was a young man. At the age of 16, strange things started happening to him and his family. First, while in the deep depths of a vicious nightmare, the large oak tree exploded for what seemed like no reason. Although it’s not uncommon for a tree to explode in Saldea, it was the middle of summer, and that in itself was a mystery. The next unexplainable occurrence, was that when his father was in the Blight, his younger brother mysteriously died from suffocation in the middle of the night. No one knew how he had died, but his body laid peacefully in bed. The third and final straw happened a week before the day of his birth on his seventeenth year. While arguing with his mother over whether he could dance with a certain girl in town, her hair caught on fire. The Kilkerrion’s thought they gave birth to a demon.
Not long after, he was cast out into the world after a heated dispute among the village council. His family, friends, and even the common stranger he saw walking down the road gave him a wide birth whenever he was around. Nobody talked to him about what had happened. About a week later, they sent the boy on his way. He often thought to himself that he’d do great things in life, that he was probably going to be a highly respected individual, and lead many a battle against the dark creatures of the blight. But now, an outcast, he wasn’t so sure.
As time drew on and months went by, he began to take on a weathered rugged appearance. On more than one occasion, he found himself fighting with brigands, and occasionally a brawl in a tavern. The dreams he was plagued with kept coming, and everywhere he went, the strange happenings followed. Animals outside his rooms mysteriously ended up dead. A group of young women just started following him around, saying how he was the love of their lives. More often than not, the women ended up fighting over him, and usually they were dangerously bloody fights. Sacrafist was helpless, and thought maybe he just had the worse luck in the history of man.
During one of his stops in the countryside of Andor, Sacrafist met a man named Teriko Sammons. Teriko told Sacrafist that he knew just how to stop the chain of bad luck. At that point, Sacrafist would have done anything to help the matter. Anything. Teriko told him that the reason it was happening was that he was touching Saidin. Sacrafist was flabbergasted, a male channeler? How could that be? At that very point in time, he felt like his life was over. So he set out, seeking the man named Kcacee, the M’hael of the Black Tower, in hopes of ending this madness. Or has it just begun? |
